Productivity Study of Pigeon, Turquois, and Marlboro Discus Broodstock’s Strain (Symphysodon Discus) at Mischosella Fish Cipayung Farm

Discus is one of the ornamental fish that lives in freshwater. a quite famous among lovers. (Symphysodon discus) belongs to Cichlidae family which comes from calm waters Amazon river. This also known as King Aquarium. Its body shape round like disc and its movements are smooth. enthusiasts numerous, they creative bring up new varieties better more attractive, demand by public. All strains discus both local export communities. At Mischosella Fish Cipayung Farm, 3 types cultivated, namely Pigeon, Turquois, Malboro. These three have distinctive patterns colors. The productivity these greatly influences company's producing seeds. purpose this study was determine Malboro at Farm same time provide suggestions for broodstock need be developed. parameters observed were brood spawning frequency, fecundity, hatching rate, survival rate larvae. Based on results study, frequency carried out Turquise species (9 times during observation) while most eggs (217 eggs). However, highest produced Marlboro parent (96.26%). found larvae breeders (84.4%), ABL values Pigeon. Water quality larval rearing media raising Turquise, range, temperature 26 – 30.5oC, pH 6 6.8 DO 5.5 6.3 mg/l. optimum range breeding
